COURT!!!

We just got out of Court, where we were officially named as parents, her name was changed to Sylvi Lois DeBoer! We are just thrilled, and relieved that we are through that step. They are extremely strict, however-and we find out that we don't actually get her out of the orphanage until May 5. We were unsure of this, and they are making it tough with the holiday, etc-we have no rights to her until the court 'decree' is issued, 11 days after his ruling today. So we will try and speed it up, but in the meantime visit her daily. No visit today, but tomorrow we will. And continue to try and get the boys and Glo there.

This picture was taken just a few moments after the decision, when we walked out of the courthouse.

We are so happy-a major milestone passed here!

Congratulations!! She's a DeBoer!!

Thanks so much for sharing this blog. I'm addicted to it. It's all so beautiful! Maybe you could have it made into a movie one day. Hmmm, who could play you? What about Owen Wilson and Reese Witherspoon? Or Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman? I'll think about it. ;)

Happy, happy thoughts to you and your family over there. We're thinking about and praying for you everyday. xoxo jenny

Yeah!!! I know the feeling of being past a hurdle that gets you one step closer to your little love.

I also know waiting 14 days seems like forever. One day would. You are separated from your intended.

We're trying to get to Korea right now for #2 and are facing hurdle after hurdle. It is so discouraging. When you care so much, anything less than NOW is a bummer.

Intentional love is stretching. Difficult. Beautiful. Thank you Jesus for showing us the way!

Praying,
Heidi (Voss) Anderson

Can't wait to meet Sylvi this summer on Camano!
